Age of Conan has taken the online gaming world by storm. And because of that Age of Conan gold has become a hot commodity. Gamers have gone to drastic measures to get the in game commodity, often willing to pay Chinese Gold Farmers up to $10-20 per piece of the metal. But are the any alternatives?

Not long ago, the biggest, and literally only game in the MMO (massively multiplayer online) gaming community was World of Warcraft. For 5 years, WoW reigned supreme. That began to change just months ago when a new competitor, Age of Conan, became the number one selling presale computer game of all time. Beautiful graphics, immersive gameplay, and innovative features promised to give it's only competitor a run for the MMO crown!

Thousands of players migrated daily from World of Warcraft to the new kid in town. And like all other MMO's that came before, the first order of business in the new online world was to acquire gold. After all, gold is the key to better weapons, armor, and simply a more powerful character or guild in this online world. Unfortunatly, like other MMO's, the task of getting gold in AoC is simply not fun. It's tedious, boring, slow, and often times plain frustrating! Because of this, many new players resorted to purchasing gold from Chinese Gold Farmers, young gamers in China who play the game for 12 hours a day and sell the gold that they acquire, generally for $12.99 or more per piece.

While this is an expensive proposition for most any gamer, MMO fans know how important getting a lot of the metal, fast can be. But are there any alternatives to this method.

Luckily there are! You surely remember, as the World of Warcraft gained in popularity a number of strategy guides were introduced. Some were general strategy, some were leveling guides, and some were gold guides. By far the most sought after guides in that game were the gold guides. In fact, in a recent survey conducted by a leading gaming publication, it's estimated that of the top 1,000 WoW players, over 70% of them attributed at least some of their success to following a quality strategy guide.

History repeats and already the first Age of Conan Gold Guide has been released. These guides generally walk players step by step through the process of getting gold quickly. Where the average player may spend an hour to get just 10 pieces of gold, a good strategy guide can often increase that output to 200 or more pieces in just about 15 minutes! A legitimate guide should also not involve the use of cheats, hacks, bots, or other questionable gameplay. The methods should be legit.

So why is acquiring this gold so important? Simple! AoC is still a brand new game. This means that there are no clearly dominant players as of yet and the playing field is fairly level. To build success, gold is the foundation, and by building that foundation early in the life of the game, you can position yourself to be an unstoppable force!
